Responsibilities
Provide leadership, mentorship, and day-to-day oversight of a team of VUL Insurance Specialists, ensuring they deliver high-quality, accurate, and compliant transaction processing and customer service.
Track and assess team and individual performance against established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and other key performance metrics. Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to achieve optimal team outcomes.
Regularly coach and develop team members through training, feedback, and performance evaluations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, technical expertise, and customer-centric service.
Oversee the distribution of work among team members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively while maintaining consistent quality and attention to detail.
Serve as the point of escalation for complex inquiries, complaints, or sensitive situations. Assist team members in navigating challenges, utilizing advanced problem-solving skills to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
Ensure that all transactions processed by the team comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Lead quality assurance initiatives to identify gaps and enforce corrective actions when necessary.
Identify opportunities for operational and process improvements, leveraging best practices and new technologies. Work with leadership to recommend and implement changes that enhance the customer experience and streamline operations.
Collaborate with internal departments such as shared services, operations, and compliance to ensure the team has the resources needed to meet clients’ expectations and align with business objectives.
Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, challenges, and achievements to senior management. Maintain open lines of communication with both team members and leadership to ensure alignment on goals and expectations.
Ensure that team members complete all required regulatory and job-specific training. Assist in onboarding new team members and guide them through the learning process to develop expertise in VUL Life Insurance products.

Required
Proven leadership skills with experience managing, coaching, and developing a team.
Strong understanding of VUL Life Insurance products and transaction processing.
Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle escalations and complex issues effectively.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a capacity for clear and concise reporting.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, while also being a self-starter who can work independently.
Strong technical aptitude, with proficiency in navigating multiple systems and workflow tools.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic and changing work environment, with a focus on continuous improvement.
H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required
5-8 years of experience in life insurance or annuities, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Experience with VUL Life Insurance products or similar complex financial products.
FINRA Series 6 Required
