Responsibilities
Design and implement ELK stack solutions for log ingestion, processing, storage, and visualization.
Architect scalable and fault-tolerant ELK clusters to handle large datasets efficiently.
Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to align ELK architecture with organizational requirements.
Configure and maintain Elasticsearch clusters, including tuning and scaling.
Develop and manage Logstash pipelines for log ingestion and transformation.
Design custom dashboards and visualizations in Kibana to meet business needs.
Monitor and optimize performance, including query speed and cluster health.
Troubleshoot and resolve ELK stack issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Implement best practices for indexing, sharding, and retention policies.
Automate ELK stack deployments using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent.
Develop scripts to integrate the ELK stack with CI/CD pipelines.
Create technical documentation for ELK stack configurations and usage guidelines.
Train team members and stakeholders on effectively utilizing the ELK stack for analytics and troubleshooting.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience with the ELK stack.
Expertise in Elasticsearch (indexing, querying, aggregation, and scaling).
Proficiency in configuring Logstash pipelines and ingesting diverse data sources.
Experience designing Kibana dashboards for data visualization.
Knowledge of security measures, such as TLS encryption and role-based access control (RBAC) in ELK.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
Preferred
Knowledge of Beats (Filebeat, Metricbeat, etc.) for lightweight data shipping.
Experience integrating the ELK stack with other logging and monitoring tools.
Proficiency with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their managed ELK services.
