Responsibilities

Run a weekly writing accountability group for creative writing MFA students.

Address issues of productivity, planning and writing work, editing and revising, and creating a sustainable writing practice.

Support professional development for graduate students preparing to finish their degrees.

Engage with graduate students working on an MFA and support writers in an accountability context.

Required

MA or MFA in English

Significant experience teaching writing

Experience editing other writers' work

Engaging with graduate students working on an MFA

Supporting writers in an accountability context

Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

Ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in support of a diverse community

Preferred

Experience working in a writing center

Lived experiences that would prove resourceful in mentoring students of diverse backgrounds, including students of color, LGBTQ+ students, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities
