Pipe Stress Engineer-Contract

Responsibilities
Conduct pipe stress analysis of piping systems (both static and dynamic) using AutoPIPE Software
Conduct pipe stress analysis for piping systems involving steam turbines, pumps, heat exchangers, and tanks
Develop engineering computations and evaluations for critical piping systems for sustained, thermal, and occasional loads
Perform evaluation of local stresses on equipment nozzles per WRC107/297
Evaluate and specify pipe supports for all critical piping
Provide pipe loading information to Civil/Structural for steel design
Extract engineering data from CAD drawings and computer models
Develop detailed requisitions for pipe stress equipment and materials
Prepare pipe stress reports
Perform detailed reviews and checks of stress analysis designs from other stress engineers

Required
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Experience running Pipe Stress Analysis using AutoPIPE Software
Understanding of ASME, API and ANSI Codes
Experience with analyzing high temperature and pressure piping systems in the Power Industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
PE License
