Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive public relations and community engagement plans, including strategy, goals, budget, and tactical activities, to drive impactful results.
Define opportunities for public relations strategy in the overall context of a client’s marketing communications plan.
Demonstrate a strong ability to multitask, juggling priorities and managing time effectively.
Represent clients confidently by presenting to large groups, communicating key messages effectively, and building brand advocacy.
Provide strategic guidance on identifying and engaging with media and influencers.
Directs strategy and execution of social media platforms including tactics that reflect the brand voice, engage target audiences, and amplify client messaging across platforms.
Regularly monitor social media to stay responsive, adjust strategies as needed, and keep content fresh and engaging.
Track and analyze social media performance, pulling insights from engagement metrics to inform adjustments in content strategy and optimize future campaigns.
Lead coordination and execution of social media influencer partnerships, ensuring alignment with client brand and messaging goals.
Cultivate meaningful relationships with local media, identifying and pitching relevant client stories to secure coverage and enhance brand visibility.
Build and maintain media lists for client across multiple markets.
Organize and provide on-site support for client events, including check presentations, community appreciation days, and media interviews, ensuring smooth execution and positive client representation.
Craft key messaging, press releases, media alerts, talking points, and Q&A documents that align with client goals and resonate with target audiences.
Monitor PR results, providing detailed insights and actionable recommendations to refine strategies and deliver measurable outcomes.
Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategies.
Ensure tactical plans achieve client objectives and strategies.
Educate and support client and internal teams regarding public relations strategy value and best practices.
Work closely with community partners and charitable organizations on behalf of clients to foster goodwill and strengthen community ties.
Travel (as necessary) on behalf of clients to meetings, conferences and presentations.
Provide crisis management support as needed.

Required
Located in the Dallas, TX area with occasional travel required.
Minimum seven years experience in communications, agency or public relations.
Bachelor’s degree - preferably in public relations, journalism, marketing or communications, is required.
Experience working with a team of creative and/or public relations and media outreach experts.
Experience pitching, crafting and placing content externally.
Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns.
Strong relationships with local business and industry media outlets.
Exceptional writing and editing skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Solid understanding of public relations best practices and trends.
Possess an innately curious mind. Think logically, based on research and reasoning, and be inspired by creativity and human behaviors.
Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
Proven leadership and organizational skills.
Preferred
Bilingual Preferred – Spanish/English.
