Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure.
Plan and execute VMware vCenter and Esxi upgrades and migrations.
Hands on experience in vCenter esxi 7.x and 8.x versions.
Troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and working with external customers to effectively resolve them.
Experience in troubleshooting Dell hardware issues.
Experience in migrating Virtual machines and troubleshooting vMotion, SvMotion issues.
Experience in creating clusters and configuring it end to end.
Experience in Install and configuring esxi 7.x, 8.x.
Troubleshooting vCenter, esxi and Virtual machines, vSAN, iSCSI, Networking issues.
Analyzing logs and providing mitigations to the issues.
Perform capacity planning for VMware vSphere infrastructure.
Monitor performance of VMware vSphere infrastructure and troubleshoot day to day issues.
Create and document the Root cause analysis for Customers.
Proactively identify and perform mitigation steps to fix the Customer issues.
Respond to server down alerts in a timely manner and restore functionality.
Participate in the installation and maintenance of systems software, utilities, and hardware platforms.
Train other staff on using and administering VMware vSphere.

Required
Proven experience with HCX upgrades and maintenance.
Strong troubleshooting skills for HCX appliance and network extension issues.
Proficiency in VCenter and NSX LDAP configuration and troubleshooting.
Expertise in VCenter log analysis and resolving complex issues.
Experience in upgrading Esxi and VCenter from 7.x to 8.x.
Ability to create and manage HCX Compute Profiles, Site Pairings, Service Meshes, and Network Extensions.
Experience in managing migrations and configuring vSAN storage.
Strong understanding of VMware networking issues.
Experience with VMware NSX-T, including NSX controllers, NSX managers, logical routers, and logical switches.
Proficiency in VMware vSphere, vCenter, Esxi, vSAN, and NSX-T.
Knowledge of Linux OS and scripting tools like PowerShell and PowerCLI.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience working with VMware vSphere in a production environment.
Experience configuring and managing VMware vCenter Server.
Experience with VMware ESXi server administration.
Experience of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong fundamental knowledge of all components of VMware.
Preferred
Hands on experience of VMware components. (vCenter, esxi, HCX, SRM, VRM, NSX-T)
Good knowledge of Cisco, HP, Dell PowerEdge Server Environment iDRAC.
Moderate knowledge of Linux.
Experience in scripting using Python, PowerShell, etc. Knowledge in C#, Java, or any object-oriented languages is a plus.
Microsoft Azure knowledge is a strong plus.
24•7 support experience is highly desired.
Comfortable working with a wide variety of vendor devices.
Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
Strong team player who enjoys a mix of autonomy and collaboration.
