Responsibilities
Sales Contract Reviews: Analyze sales contracts to identify revenue implications and ensure adherence to company policies and accounting guidelines.
Revenue Recognition: Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 and other applicable standards, partnering with cross-functional teams to review sales transactions and contracts.
General Ledger Oversight: Manage the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, and assist with variance analysis to provide insights into business performance.
Commission Calculations: Calculate and review sales commissions based on sales agreements, ensuring accurate and timely payout to sales staff, and provide insights to management regarding commission-related expenses.
Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, preparing audit schedules, and implementing recommendations.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting operations, including automating workflows and improving reporting capabilities.

Required
5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting
Experience in general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and month-end/year-end close processes
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards
Willingness to take initiative and drive process improvements in accounting operations
Preferred
2+ years of experience in revenue recognition
Prior experience in sales contract review for revenue implications
Experience with internal or external audits and compliance reporting
Proficiency with accounting software (NetSuite preferred)
Familiarity with tax compliance and reporting regulations
