Responsibilities

Identify and troubleshoot problematic meters and other metering equipment.

Ensure each home has a working meter.

Review, correct, and approve monthly billing.

Manage utility expenses through submitting sewer leak adjustments and negotiating waste removal contracts.

Track, schedule, and communicate all utility and billing updates with residents and applicable staff members.

Ensure all rent increases and rental renewals occur.

Audit utility invoices, including waste removal invoices, to ensure rates are correct.

Assist Utility and Billing Manager with creating annual utility income and expense budgets as well as rent increase budgets.

Monthly budget change request review.

Serve as an account admin for Waterscope.

Assist field staff by troubleshooting utility billing issues and questions from residents.

Detect leaks and assist teams in finding and correcting them.

Research, interpret, and analyze account history to resolve billing questions on meter readings.

Participate in monthly financial statement review and provide commentary on associated revenue line items.

Serve as in-house expert for meter reading systems, devices, and software.

Transfer utility accounts to the correct entity upon community acquisition.
