Responsibilities
Prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
Collaborate with the Global Controller to analyze and recommend improvements to month-end close processes, financial reporting, and accounting policies.
Support financial decision-making by implementing policies and procedures.
Coordinate with external auditors and support audit activities.
Provide relevant data and insights to department heads/FP&A during the budgeting process.
Assist in managing treasury activities, including bank accounts and reporting needed to support bank covenants.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; and advising management on necessary actions.
Oversee accounting department operations and ensure timely processing of transactions.
Drive operational improvements and support process automation.
Maintain a robust system of controls over accounting transactions, chart of accounts, and accounting filing systems.
Support the financial integration of newly acquired businesses.
Assist internal audit in designing and leading internal financial controls across the company.
Maintain relationships with external tax providers.

Required
5+ years in accounting, financial reporting, or corporate accounting.
Proven ability to support the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
A high level of intellectual curiosity and a passion for inspiring change.
Strong deadline management and independent task ownership.
Effective business partnerships and stakeholder connections.
Ability to challenge, hold accountable, and maintain high standards.
Engagement, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to apply GAAP accounting practices, including ASC 606.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work within tight deadlines and handle competing priorities effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Preferred
CPA preferred, with public accounting experience.
Experience in financial reporting within high-growth organizations is preferred.
Knowledge of pharma/biopharma services or recurring service models is preferred.
