Responsibilities

Write production software that will have a meaningful impact on Parafin’s mission to support small businesses.

Exchange valuable technical feedback through code reviews and design discussions, fostering growth and improvement.

Work alongside engineers and cross-functional teams, actively seeking and integrating feedback to enhance your work.

Accelerate your learning by asking thoughtful questions, collaborating closely with your intern manager and teammates, and keeping everyone updated on your project progress.

Required

At least 2 years of university education, demonstrated through the pursuit of a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in computer science, mathematics, or a related field

Experience from previous internships, collaborative projects, or open source contributions that highlight your ability to seek and incorporate feedback from mentors, peers, and stakeholders

Experience with programming, whether through coursework or personal projects. While we primarily use Python and Scala, we believe that strong fundamentals enable you to learn new languages quickly

A demonstrated ability to quickly understand unfamiliar systems through independent research, collaboration with mentors, and consulting subject matter experts
