Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal stakeholders as well as external partners to identify opportunities to solve problems through technological advancements
Work on custom automation solutions to support the business area / team
Implement automated system and / or application improvements with measurable results in revenue, and / or quality
Program, configure, and integrate new technology into an existing system and / or application
Provide technical direction and support/training to more junior engineers
Assist in planning, organizing, monitoring, and oversight of all phases of test automation
Prepare reports summarizing information or trends related to automation
Develop and document process for internal automation and development projects
Actively support/solve intensified issues from both internal and external clients
Actively participate in design and code reviews from functional teams
Actively work with internal or external clients to optimize the automation performance to deliver contracted KPIs
Assist in scheduling and defining resource needs for testing
Lead the auditing of all current lab processes to identify opportunities for further automation
Develop and execute performance test scripts specific to business requirements
Take lead in develop resilient continuous integration and delivery automation pipelines
Perform/lead test execution for both project and support related activities
Explore and implement new ways to automate systems and / or applications
Mentor junior Automation Engineers
Set automation standards and provide input to tool evaluation and selection

Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or similar field
Programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, or C#
Experience with Ignition SCADA within industrial automation, BMS, & EPMS systems
Advanced understanding of SCADA design, deployment, and testing
Advanced demonstrated project management experience
Advanced understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies
Advanced programming and scripting skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C#
Excellent and proficiency in maintaining building automation systems and / or applications
Excellent understanding of computer programming and software development
Ability to troubleshoot technology and perform complex system tests
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Creative thinking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to communicate well with other members of the development team
Ability to keep up with the latest technologies
A desire to continually upgrade technical knowledge
Primarily walking, sitting, standing, and bending
Able to hear and speak on a telephone
Close visual work on a computer terminal
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required to operate computer keyboard, mouse, other technical instruments, and for performing cable terminations and testing
This position is expected to be remote for the near future with an occasional need to be on-site in a shared work environment
Extensive daily usage of workstation or computer
Must be available for 24x7 support of customers and NTT GDC Americas, Inc.
Some travel as required. Travel requirements may vary based on the frequency and intensity of remote site operations
Must possess a current, valid state-issued driver’s license
