Responsibilities

Designing, developing and maintaining distributed systems in Scala.

Designing, implementing, and maintaining complex data infrastructures.

Advocate for the needs of our users and contribute to the community discussion on product direction and uses.

Required

5+ years of experience designing and developing distributed systems in Scala.

Hands-on experience designing and developing scalable, high performing and fault-tolerant applications

Experience designing robust protocols for distributed systems

Experience developing, maintaining, and optimize large-scale streaming data solutions, ensuring reliability and resilience.

Exposure to designing, implementing, and maintaining complex data infrastructures

Familiarity with Akka / Pekko or the Actor-model

Understanding of concurrency in the Java Virtual Machine.

Willingness to create and update documentation to facilitate learning, with comfort speaking to groups and presenting information

Preferred

experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune) and graph algorithms

experience using Kafka

experience using Cassandra or Scylla DB (esp. in large clusters)
