Responsibilities
Define prerequisites (what gets developed first)
Provide best practice guidance to less experienced consultants.
Responsible for the technical quality of customer projects
Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals.
Serve as technical and process best practice advisor/SME to customers and teammates.
Administer the Service Now instance including the delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, dictionary, catalog items and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions.
Sound knowledge of Service Now application(s) integration with third party systems/applications.
Participate in internal and customer meetings identify unique use cases for the Service Now platform.
Demonstrates requirements gathering and analysis, solution design, development task management, quality assurance and release management.
Provide subject matter expertise, act as technical product advocate, design, develop and implement ITIL processes, ITSM, ITOM, CSM, Knowledge, IRE, SAM/HAM and Release Management modules within ServiceNow platform.
Implement technology specific best practices and standards.
Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.
Experience in multiple ServiceNow implementations.
Develop appropriate software solutions to requests for new services and functionality.
Proposes data model, design changes to processes and products, exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of an assignment.
Translates requirements into functional and technical requirements.
Develop technical design documents.
Reviews and refines designs for usability, review testing scenarios and refines test cases, to ensure applications quality and works with users to review test results to ensure they meet expected results. Support and coordinate scheduling and execution of releases, product upgrades, new technology deployments.
Evaluation of new features and produce comprehensive analysis and recommendations. Perform and participate in product road map planning.
Produces and maintains detailed system documentation including design specs, maintenance, troubleshooting, deployment, disaster recovery, tech notes, and testing, etc.
Create and maintain the current state of the ServiceNow platform architecture documentation and provide the architectural control.
Create well-structured test plans and coordinate testing activities.
Translate technical complexities to project stakeholders and make sure they understand the effects of the design decisions on the areas of ServiceNow Platform.
Lead ServiceNow upgrades planning and execution.
Participate in the configuration of new applications or suites during planning, development, and roll out phases. Contribute to the strategic development of new platform customization, as needed, based on customer needs.
Maintain an awareness and understanding of technological advances; provide continuous research and assessment of new resources and technology available for ServiceNow platform.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead assignments/teams and mentor others and build a team.
Demonstrate strong prioritization, time management and organizational skills.
Create solution architectures that are leverage-able for future re-use
Actively seek opportunities to leverage existing IT solutions for new business offerings and services
Align IT solutions with business functions to improve flexibility, facilitate large scale reuse, and improve comprehensibility and visibility of IT’s value to the business
Partner with business, Research and other FCE and IT teams in designing IT solutions that match the needs of the business
Assess and formulate future architecture and technology direction for IT solutions
Aggressively identify enterprise IT application solution/technology initiatives that are of value. Collaborate with other architects and teams in execution of the initiatives
Review and approve project deliverables to ensure that they are architecturally sound and meet business needs
Work with Principal Architects to provide input and assistance from a solution design perspective to the RFP response team for cost estimation using Function Point or Use Case Analysis
Influence business strategy by explaining the capabilities of the architecture to management and the SBUs (Strategic Business Units)
Maintain a broad business understanding including customer and market trends
Contribute to future vision and strategy by conducting research and proof of concepts
Maintain a broad knowledge of new technical tools and trends, and apply those tools to improving business processes.
Map business capabilities and services to IT solutions, and plan IT solutions for future business opportunities
Lead the alignment of business strategy to IT strategy, in ways that adhere to IT maxims
Actively seek opportunities to leverage existing IT solutions for new business offerings and services
Continuously improve processes, technologies, applications to provide best value to business
Establish standards in best practice design patterns and pitfalls to ensure that IT solutions perform to expectations.
Partner with development teams to develop and enhance detailed application designs and interfaces

Required
Bachelor’s degree with extensive coursework in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
8 years in IT.
Minimum 3 years in IT Architecture and application design.
