Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain Java applications with a focus on healthcare data integration.
Implement and support FHIR-based solutions, ensuring compliance with healthcare data interoperability standards.
Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.
Deploy and manage applications on Microsoft Azure, utilizing Azure services for optimal performance and scalability.
Conduct code reviews and maintain best practices in software development, including clean code principles and design patterns.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application functionality, performance, and integration.
Work with data teams to ensure the secure and compliant handling of sensitive healthcare information.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on backend services and API integration.
Familiarity with FHIR standards, including experience in integrating FHIR APIs and working with healthcare data.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and other relevant services.
Proficient in Java, RESTful API development, and Microservices architecture.
Experience with Spring Boot and other Java frameworks.
Knowledge of databases, including SQL and NoSQL options, and cloud-based data storage solutions.
Understanding of healthcare industry regulations such as HIPAA is a plus.
Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a team-oriented approach.
Preferred
Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS or Google Cloud) is a plus.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with healthcare interoperability standards beyond FHIR, such as HL7.
