Logistics Account Outside Sales Representive

Responsibilities
Generate new clients and meet budgeted sales revenues.
Coordinate with Business Development Manager in setting up new clients, web services, pricing, etc.
Develop and maintain lead database in HubSpot.
Assist with assembling quotes; respond to all RFPs or bid requests and follow up with clients.
Maintain awareness of accounts and involvement with clients, coordinating with Operations to ensure all shipping needs and parameters are met, including troubleshooting.
Operate within established budgets.
Assist in enhancement of sales literature.
Assist carrier truckload sales.
Run credit checks on customers.
Assist in creating and maintaining detailed customer profiles.
Provide sales report(s), including sales forecasts, outlining top prospects and other potential clients in the pipeline.
Give competitive insight to officers regarding industry standards.
Attend assigned conferences.
Communicate invoice issues with Admin and Account Executive.
Communicate with Admin, Account Executive and customer to retain required documents for any carrier claims.
Assist with the Business Development department.
Provide Account Executive useful insight into shippers or the occasional non-USPS co-signee shipments.
Alert Account Executive of increases or decreases in the account’s activity.
Serve on-call rotation – answering phone calls, problem-solving and making operations-related decisions.
Visit house accounts if requested by management while out on other customer travel.
Travel required. Conduct personal visits as well as engage in teleconference and videoconference meetings.
Cold Calls and Follow up Calls – Minimum 20/Day or 100/WK.

Required
Third-party logistics sales experience required
Established book of business
Analytical, critical thinking, optimization, decision-making and advanced and problem-solving skills required
Proficient with spreadsheets/formulas, computer models, and data mining required; with extensive experience using the Microsoft applications
General understanding of financial/accounting concepts required
Willingness to interact with all levels of the organization, including executive management
Detail oriented and must enjoy a fast paced, multi-tasking, customer service minded environment
Display a sense of urgency, and an ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
Organizational skills with ability to document and maintain records on decisions made for later analysis
