Responsibilities
RACF Mainframe Testing & Validation: Perform detailed testing and validation of RACF configurations, ensuring they meet security and compliance requirements, particularly within a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controlled environment.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Partner with stakeholders to assess risks, review RACF configurations, and make recommendations to mitigate potential vulnerabilities based on test results. Provide insights into how RACF impacts the organization’s overall risk posture.
Collaborative Decision Making: Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and compliance teams to review test results, leverage provided evidence, and derive conclusions that inform decision-making processes.
Documentation & Reporting: Produce clear, concise, and accurate documentation of testing results, evidence gathered, risk assessments, and conclusions. Maintain up-to-date records to comply with internal and external audit requirements.
Audit Support: Support SOX and other compliance audits by providing necessary documentation, explaining test findings, and assisting in remediating any identified issues.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, RACF configurations, and security measures. Propose enhancements to better mitigate risks and improve system functionality.
Technical Expertise: Stay updated on the latest RACF features, security best practices, and mainframe technologies. Bring technical expertise to discussions about system enhancements, controls, and optimization.

Required
Minimum of 5 years working as a RACF Engineer or in a similar mainframe security role, with hands-on experience in validating and testing RACF configurations in large-scale, complex environments.
Demonstrated experience working within a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) framework and understanding of related compliance and audit processes.
Strong technical understanding of RACF and mainframe security, including access control, authentication, and authorization processes.
Familiarity with other security and identity management tools is a plus.
Preferred
Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA), or similar are highly desirable.
Experience with other mainframe security tools or technologies (e.g., RACF administration, ACF2, Top Secret) is a plus.
Experience in financial services, banking, or highly regulated industries is strongly preferred.
