Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders (Business Leads, Project Managers, etc.) to understand business needs and implement scalable solutions.
Develop end-to-end systems involving transformation, storage, consumption, security, and write-back functionality.
Take ownership of technical design and implementation, including testing, go-live, warranty, and transition to support.
Contribute to estimating the size and complexity of business requirements and manage technical dependencies across projects.
Build and maintain custom applications, including systems, processes, integrations, and consumption layers.
Develop and optimize data models, schemas, and SQL queries within the Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse.
Ensure efficient and reliable data movement from source systems to data warehouses.
Optimize visualizations for performance, scalability, and maintainability using technologies like Python and Snowflake.
Ensure adherence to IT principles and architectural guidelines during development.
Work with security and infrastructure teams to ensure platform enablement and controls are in place.
Participate in testing efforts to validate the solution’s functionality and performance.
Implement observability tools to monitor system health and performance.
Support smooth handovers and transitions to support teams post-deployment.

Required
Proficient in Python coding for creating visualizations, preferably using frameworks like Streamlit or similar.
Experience in designing and developing data models and queries within Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse.
Experience with setting up and managing write-back functionality from a custom frontend to Snowflake.
Knowledge of working with APIs and integrating them into data pipelines.
Expertise in building and optimizing SQL queries in Snowflake.
Preferred
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Git) and DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation.
Understanding of the principles behind the data mesh approach for modern data architectures.
Knowledge of financial, operational, or stewardship industry business processes.
