Responsibilities

Cloud Security: Design and enforce security policies, configure firewalls, and address vulnerabilities to protect Google Cloud resources.

Access Control: Manage IAM policies, implement role-based access, conduct access reviews, and ensure compliance with security standards.

Compute & Storage Management: Oversee provisioning and maintenance of Google Compute resources, ensuring security across storage and instances, with logging and monitoring setup.

Automation & Tooling: Implement tools for automated security checks, integrate with Security Command Center, and use IaC tools for scalable security enforcement.

Tagging & Resource Management: Develop protocols and templates for instance tagging and establish best practices for checking out and managing compute resources.

Collaboration & Training: Work with cross-functional teams, provide guidance on security best practices, and document access control and security procedures.

Provide direction for the installation and configuration of all software packages, as needed, to support business requirements

Develop and implement User cases

Provide assistance in reviewing performance and capacity requests as well as design solution resolution

Required

Google Professional Cloud Architect Certified and/or Google Professional Data Engineer Certified

Experience working in GCP cloud - Organization policies, n/w, IAM, VM, DB, Big Query, Kubernetes

Knowledge on Cloud foundation concepts and Data

Experience on implementing technological solution, including knowledge of cloud architecture design, evaluation, and research

3+ years of experience using Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Should have experience creating apps utilizing Kubernetes and containers, particularly on the Google Cloud Platform

Experience building hybrid-cloud solutions based on VM and containerization technologies, such as VMware, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, and Anthos

Experience with automation technologies, Terraform, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager

Experience in the use of CI/CD tools

Experience with different database technologies (e.g. CloudSQL, NoSQL, Relational dbs)
