Responsibilities
Develop, write, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, release notes, installation guides, and more that are tailored for different user audiences.
Partner with instructional designers to contribute to training resources, ensuring consistency in messaging, accuracy in instruction, and alignment with user needs.
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and cross-functional roles in Product, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Technical Support, Implementation, and Customer Success to gather technical information, cultivate robust product knowledge, and ensure accuracy in documentation.
Apply principles of adult learning to create user-centric documentation that enhances understanding and ease of use.
Continuously review and update existing documentation based on product updates, user feedback, and changing requirements.
Ensure all documentation is aligned with business goals, brand standards, quality standards, and uses plain language and a humanized approach to technical writing.
Stay current with documentation technologies and methodologies, recommending new tools and approaches to enhance content delivery.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Communications, Technical Writing, English, or a related field
3+ years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on creating user guides, release notes, and installation guides for software or technology products
Preferred
Experience partnering with instructional designers or familiarity with eLearning authoring tools; understanding of adult learning principles is a plus
