Responsibilities
Should be capable of handling such large systems without downtime
Exhibit lead attitude and take care of the cluster operationally, plan for upgrades, assist teams to use the cluster, performing regular administration/monitoring, etc
Come up with ideas on optimal use of clusters and brokers to reduce cost and improve performance.
Sometimes, clusters and brokers are not properly scoped and there will be lots of wastage.
Other times, they are under scoped and causes downtime.

Required
Capability of handling large systems without downtime
Exhibit lead attitude and take care of the cluster operationally
Plan for upgrades and assist teams to use the cluster
Perform regular administration/monitoring of Kafka clusters
Come up with ideas on optimal use of clusters and brokers to reduce cost and improve performance
Expertise on Open Source Kafka
Some programming experience, preferably in Kotlin or Java
Preferred
Experience with managing approximately 300 Kafka clusters with 1200 brokers & ~10,000 topics
Familiarity with on-premise and cloud (AWS) Kafka environments
Experience with ECS and EKS on AWS cloud
