Responsibilities
Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, emailing, and social media outreach, to generate new leads and create business opportunities.
Research and identify potential clients, understanding their needs and how Clay’s solutions can add value.
Book meetings or demos with qualified leads and maintain a steady pipeline of potential clients.
Join initial meetings to introduce Clay, build rapport, understand client needs, and qualify leads.
Effectively hand off qualified leads to our sales team (Account Executives) for follow-up and closing.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all lead interactions in our CRM system.
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies and messaging.
Continuously seek to improve through feedback, training, and collaboration.

Required
Proven experience in a similar BDR or sales development role, preferably within [industry or sector].
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Experience with cold calling, lead generation, and appointment setting.
Resilient and persistent with a proactive approach in a fast-paced sales environment.
Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales tools.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
A self-starter with a strong desire to learn, grow, and succeed.
