Responsibilities

Conduct thorough analyses of emergency call data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies. Use statistical methods to interpret data and generate meaningful insights.

Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as call handling times, resolution rates, and other relevant metrics. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize data and track performance metrics over time.

Utilize business intelligence tools and techniques to gather, analyze, and present data. Develop and maintain BI solutions to support data-driven decision-making.

Work closely with PSAP teams to understand their operational challenges and data needs. Provide tailored data insights and recommendations to support their decision-making processes.

Prepare detailed reports and presentations that summarize findings and provide actionable recommendations. Communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data in all analyses and reports. Implement data quality checks and validation processes to maintain high standards of data reliability.

Assist the VP of Product in strategic decision-making by providing data-driven insights and recommendations. Contribute to the development of data strategies and initiatives that align with organizational goals.

Stay up-to-date with the latest data analysis techniques, tools, and best practices. Continuously seek opportunities to improve data processes and methodologies.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within the public safety sector or with emergency call data.

Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Python, R, and Excel.

Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Strong skills in business intelligence tools and techniques.

Experience with BI platforms such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.

Experience with statistical analysis and data modeling.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to present data insights clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with a high degree of precision.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.

Must live in the State of North Carolina.

Preferred

Advanced degree preferred.

Experience working with emergency call data or in the public safety sector.

Knowledge of PSAP operations and challenges.
