Responsibilities

Conduct periodic surveys for domestic workers to collect relevant economic data of the domestic worker sector.
Analyze original survey data using statistical methods and software.
Present the results of survey data analysis in internal and external reports that will identify pressing economic needs of domestic workers, and guide our organizational strategy and programs.
Interpret employment trends for the domestic worker sector using original survey data, and national data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and other sources.
Interpret national economic trends regarding unemployment, wages, and working conditions that could affect domestic workers.
Present economic research findings to relevant internal teams and external stakeholders.
Produce economic data, insights, and reports for NDWA leadership, and relevant internal teams.
Advise internal teams on strategies and methods to learn about the economic conditions of domestic workers.
Partner with external researchers and academics to produce research articles and other products on the economic conditions of domestic workers, using our original survey data and administrative data sources.
Contribute to creating new channels to research domestic work markets and conditions via our chatbot, news, and other products.

Required

At least a Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a related field
At least 3 years of experience conducting surveys and economic research
Knowledge of the hardships domestic workers and other low income workers face
Methodological rigor about economic data quality
Ability to translate findings into lucid, compelling prose and visualizations with useful and actionable insights for accelerating growth and impact.
Bilingual Spanish/English
