Responsibilities
Analyzing data and producing reports using spreadsheets and databases
Using a variety of Milliman models and other resources to produce health care cost projections and other actuarial work products.
Drafting written reports and other correspondence
Reviewing the work of others as part of Milliman's commitment to high quality work
Assisting with research and marketing projects
Ambition and progress towards the completion of actuarial exams with the goal of attaining a Fellowship

Required
Bachelors degree, preferably in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, or some other analytic field
Achievement of, or meaningful progress towards, becoming an Associate of the Society of Actuaries
Roughly 4-8 years of relevant actuarial work experience in commercial insurance, Medicare Advantage and Part D, government sector, or other health insurance work.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Passion to help clients solve their most pressing problems using quantitative thinking and analytical tools
Preferred
Prior experience with benefits and/or pricing for plans offered through state or federally facilitated exchanges, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, or other actuarial work
Willingness and aptitude for detailed work
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Strong creative problem-solving skills with an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset
Strong knowledge of Excel and database/statistical analysis language (SQL or SAS)
Experience leading more junior actuarial staff members is a plus
Willingness to work with clients and teams located in Pacific time zone
