Responsibilities

Develop & Execute Marketing Strategy: Lead the creation of a comprehensive marketing strategy to build the company’s food product portfolio, increase market penetration, and drive growth. Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns that align with the company’s vision, mission, and long-term objectives.
Brand Management: Ensure the company's brand positioning, messaging, and voice are consistent across all touchpoints, including packaging, digital presence, trade marketing, and communications.
Market Analysis & Insights: Leverage market research, consumer insights, and industry trends to inform marketing strategies, product innovation, and brand positioning. Stay ahead of market dynamics and competitive activities in the food manufacturing industry.
Leadership: Lead and develop the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability. Set clear goals and performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations to ensure team alignment with strategic objectives.
Product Launches & Development: Collaborate with R&D, Sales, and Operations teams to bring new products to market, ensuring that they are aligned with consumer needs and market demands. Oversee product launches, promotional campaigns, and go-to-market strategies.
Portfolio Management: Continuously evaluate the company’s bread offerings, making strategic decisions regarding life cycles, packaging, pricing, and positioning to maximize profitability.
Consumer Engagement: Develop and implement consumer engagement programs, promotions, and loyalty initiatives to drive brand loyalty and repeat purchases.
Digital Strategy: Oversee the digital marketing efforts, including website development, e-commerce strategies, social media campaigns, and digital advertising. Ensure the company’s online presence is strong, engaging, and drives both brand awareness and conversion.
Content & Social Media: Lead the content strategy, including social media, blogs, videos, and email marketing campaigns to build community engagement and customer loyalty. Work closely with creative teams to ensure the content aligns with brand values and messaging.
Influencer & Partnership Marketing: Identify strategic partnerships with influencers, food bloggers, retail partners, and other key stakeholders to amplify the brand’s reach and awareness.
Retail Marketing & Trade Promotions: Work with the Sales team to develop and implement retail marketing campaigns, trade promotions, and in-store displays. Collaborate with retailers to ensure proper bread placement, shelf space, and visibility.
Customer & Shopper Insights: Collaborate with sales teams to develop tailored marketing materials that address specific customer needs and create programs that drive growth in key retail and wholesale accounts.
Price Optimization & Positioning: Oversee pricing strategies and positioning in the marketplace, ensuring competitive advantage while maximizing profitability.
Marketing Budget: Develop and manage the overall marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across various channels and initiatives. Provide regular reporting on ROI, campaign performance, and key metrics.
Performance Analytics: Establish KPIs and monitor marketing campaign performance. Analyze the effectiveness of various marketing tactics, and adjust strategies as needed to ensure optimal results.
Collaboration with Leadership: Work closely with functional teams to ensure alignment across departments. Provide insights on product development, pricing, and positioning to drive growth and profitability.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, in the commercial bakery industry
Proven track record of success in leading large, cross-functional teams and executing integrated marketing campaigns in the food industry
Extensive experience in artisan bread brand management, product marketing, retail marketing, and digital marketing
Experience with e-commerce, direct-to-consumer sales models, and data-driven marketing strategies
Familiarity with food industry trends, regulations, consumer preferences, and the competitive landscape
Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and motivate teams
Ability to develop long-term, data-driven marketing strategies that align with business goals
Proficient in analyzing marketing performance data, consumer behavior, and market trends to make informed decisions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and influence stakeholders at all levels
Strong creative and problem-solving abilities, with an eye for design and innovation in marketing initiatives
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in marketing tools, CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, and analytics software (e.g., Google Analytics, social media platforms, email marketing tools)
Strategic and innovative thinker with a strong passion for the food industry
Results-oriented with a focus on driving growth and profitability
Collaborative and a team player who thrives in cross-functional settings
High emotional intelligence with the ability to manage relationships with senior leadership, teams, customers, and external partners
Strong work ethic, with the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of a fast-paced industry
