Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of multiple projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
Lead the planning and implementation of relevant IFBC programs, including assisting with participant enrollment of granting programs and technical support.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules, tracking progress and identifying risks or issues that may impact delivery.
Ensure smooth coordination between team members, external partners, and stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
Prepare program materials, including guidelines, eligibility criteria, and application processes, to support smooth program operations.
Monitor program deliverables, ensuring they align with the strategic goals of IAC and IFBC.
Coordinate with partners such as Akiptan, the Indian Land Tenure Foundation, and the Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative to ensure cohesive program delivery and strategic alignment.
Manage relationships with Native producers, providing them with timely information about resources and technical assistance opportunities available through the IFBC.
Work with regional partners and USDA’s Regional Food Business Centers to ensure Indian Country and a Tribal voice is well-represented in the national food system efforts.
Manage partnerships with key Native-serving organizations, identifying opportunities for collaboration to enhance program reach and effectiveness.
Collect key program data, ensuring that outcomes are accurately captured for both USDA reporting and internal IAC evaluation.
Work with IAC teams to coordinate data collection methods and evaluation efforts that will assist with reporting efforts.
Collaborate with the Communications team to create visual and written materials that demonstrate program impact and success.
Contribute to evaluating program outcomes, adjusting strategies and processes as needed to ensure the highest impact for Native producers.
Provide feedback to the Director on program performance, identifying areas of growth and innovation.

Required

Proven relationships and experience working in, for, and/or with Native communities, particularly in the area of Indian agriculture.
2+ years’ experience in project management, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines at once while maintaining alignment with the organization’s greater objectives.
Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to interact with diverse audiences.
Proven track record of success in overseeing grant programs, especially USDA programs.
Strong computer skills, including utilization of Google Suite, Sales Force, Smartsheets, and/or other CRM platforms.
