Responsibilities
Final reviewer of all tax workpapers and tax returns of corporate, partnership, individuals
Manage workflow and assignments of the tax department to ensure that the tax team is fully utilized throughout the year
Ensure all tax returns are filed and accepted by the IRS and state deadlines
Ensure all tax return extensions are timely filed
Final reviewer of quarterly and year-end tax estimate calculations
Conduct thorough tax research to support tax positions
Conduct office hours and training for tax team and client facing staff
Assist in peer review of partner accountants and bookkeepers
Other responsibilities given as needed

Required
CPA or EA license (current)
Holds a Senior Tax Reviewer, Tax Manager, Accounting Manager, Tax Strategist or similar position for a small to medium public accounting firm and ready to head this firm reviewing hundreds of tax returns a year. IRS experience is a plus
Previous experience in tax planning, preparation, compliance and review for businesses in a public accounting firm
Expert tax researcher using tools and databases
Lead a team of tax professionals
