Responsibilities

Initiate, manage and document investigations relating to internal theft, external theft, fraud, and policy violations.
Assist field AP teams with complex investigations
Investigate incidences of organized retail crime; identify trends and risk areas
Liaison with law enforcement at local, state, and federal levels as necessary
Conduct face-to-face and/or telephone interviews with associates suspected of internal theft, fraud, and policy violations
Utilize exception based reporting software to identify areas of loss or exposure within the company – identify global trends
Assist field teams in managing through crisis situations (natural disasters, civil unrest, ect.) to include planning, execution, and recovery
Project management of process improvement initiatives.
Liaison with Pro and credit teams on fraud issues to include both internal and external credit.

Required

7 to 10 years of asset protection experience focusing on investigations, interviews, crisis management, and process improvement initiatives.
Ability to pass an extensive background check
Ability to work nights, evenings and weekends appropriate to business requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher from four-year from an accredited college or university; or seven years multi-unit related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient knowledge of accepted internal investigation processes and methodologies in a retail, supply chain, and corporate environments
Ability to complete complex investigations across all company functional groups, while maintaining discretion.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Ability to report and present findings to senior company leadership
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Must be self-motivated with highly-effective time management skills
Must have solid conflict management skills with the ability to work alone in stressful situations
Must have proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities

Preferred

Prefer CFI and/or CFE certified
Remote Position – Ideal candidate around a Major Metropolitan area within the Great Plains and Mid-Atlantic.
