Responsibilities

Work with business units and IT to deliver and maintain applications that enable business transformation.

Focus on technical solutions and applications, understanding business processes and translating them into work projects in the form of analytics and dashboards.

Participate in the production support and enhancement lifecycle of FirstEnergy’s analytic systems.

Configure or administer systems to function per business requirements.

Support reporting tool applications (Power BI, QlikView, RapidMiner, TOAD, SAS, Anaconda, etc.).

Promote use of tools and applications supported by the Analytics Team.

Manage projects related to applications and hardware supported by the Analytics team.

Manage work assignments given to internal and external developers to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Assist in managing reporting environments to adhere to IT Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) Controls and CIP regulations.

Required

You have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related technical discipline with 7 years related experience. In lieu of a Degree, 9 years of related experience required.

Related experience should include configuring or administering systems to function per business requirements.

Advanced skills in supporting reporting tool applications (Power BI, QlikView, RapidMiner, TOAD, SAS, Anaconda, etc.).

Understand and promote use of tools and applications supported by the Analytics Team.

In-Depth knowledge of the Azure data warehousing solution.

Work with Business developers to promote Power BI Governance and self-service analytics across FirstEnergy.

Plan and facilitate the Power BI user group monthly meetings.

Manage projects related to applications and hardware supported by the Analytics team.

Manage work assignments given to internal and external developers to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Assist in managing reporting environments to adhere to IT Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) Controls and CIP regulations.

Excellent analytical skills and ability to think creatively.

Knowledge of project management concepts and tools.

Experience facilitating meetings in support of projects.

Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications, and presentation skills.

Managed multiple stages of projects including, but not limited to, initiating a business case or project charter, creating work plans and resources plans, identifying risks, defining, and implementing change management, managing costs.
