Responsibilities
Provide leadership in technology architecture, emphasizing infrastructure, networks, and application strategies.
Collaborate with Data Engineers to develop and implement efficient data integration plans.
Conduct needs assessments through surveys, interviews, and group discussions to shape organizational data modernization strategies.
Develop and execute sustainable plans for modernized data infrastructure aligned with organizational goals.
Design scalable, secure, and user-centric solutions tailored to public health needs.
Create comprehensive system architecture diagrams and guidelines to communicate design standards.
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and implement technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.
Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and best practice standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, fostering effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in system architecture, including expertise in application design, deployment, and technical security.
Hands-on experience with architectural patterns, modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript), and cloud-based solutions.
Proficiency in Git, CI/CD, and modern JavaScript frameworks (Node.js, React, Vue).
Familiarity with electronic health records (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Credible) and survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics).
Extensive knowledge of relational databases and automated testing frameworks.
Proven ability to manage large-scale projects, resolve technical issues, and deliver user-focused solutions.
Exceptional communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
Experience with federal government IT systems and standards (e.g., CIS, NIST).
Background in healthcare IT systems, with an emphasis on HIPAA compliance.
