Responsibilities

Confirm relevant information prior to service with patients.

Discuss and collect on patient liabilities providing best in class customer service to ensure a patient friendly experience.

Ensure accurate and complete registration data, demographic information, and insurance coverage is secured prior to services being rendered.

Communicate all patient liability estimates and expectations and attempt collections on identified liability to meet daily productivity and quality standards.

Required

Medical Terminology proficiency by exam AND one of the following:

One (1) year admitting, billing, or registration experience in a health care setting

OR Graduate of a health vocational program such as Medical Assistance, Medical Billing & Insurance, or Medical General

OR AA Degree and six months healthcare experience

Preferred

One (1) year of post high school business or college course work

National Association of Healthcare Access Management Certification

Minimum one (1) year experience in dealing with the public in a customer service role
