Responsibilities
This role will require creative, audience-focused copywriting across mediums (print and digital, including social media, one-pagers, web content, ads, etc.) that aligns with FGA’s unique brand voice and distinct messaging.
The right candidate will have excellent written communication skills and the ability to tell stories and write about policy topics in a high-impact, compelling way.
The ability to willingly and regularly ask for and receive feedback, and then adjust content as necessary, is essential.
You’ll be expected to respond to requests for marketing collateral, create content, and then gather feedback on its effectiveness to ensure it is actively utilized and well-received by the intended audience.
You’ll initiate conversations with staff on different teams to gauge content marketing needs and effectiveness and should approach your work with a willingness and ability to work both individually and as a member of a team.
This role will be responsible for outlining, tracking, and aligning content-related initiatives with the Marketing team’s overall goals.
You’ll set expectations for task management, monitor and report on progress, create new tasks as needed, and proactively address any bottlenecks or stalled projects to maintain momentum.
The ideal candidate will be able to work well under pressure and under frequently tight deadlines while delivering a high-quality product.
This role will require a deep understanding of FGA’s mission and brand voice.
Part of the role will be ensuring all content matches this brand voice while remaining resonant with audiences.
You’ll be expected to be constantly curious about how to best move our audiences and will have frequent candid discussions with the Outreach team to understand organizational goals and audience expectations.

Required
Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a communications or marketing role.
Substantial work experience may be a substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
The right candidate will have a passion for and demonstrated experience with creating and executing effective, audience-focused content marketing campaigns.
Ability to take ownership of projects, fearlessly initiate conversations, and ask insightful questions to fully understand others’ viewpoints.
Strong interpersonal skills are an absolute must.

Preferred
Proficiency with CMS platforms (WordPress), SEO principles and tools (i.e., Google Analytics), as well as remote work tools such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Grammarly, and remote project management software.
