Responsibilities
Research/audit patient accounts for further payment or adjustments.
Research denials for trends for specific insurance companies.
Follow-up with insurance companies on outstanding claims and appeals.
Print and re-file claims as needed.
Work correspondence daily.
Answer incoming patient insurance company and physician office telephone calls.
Calculate billing unties and reimbursement amounts.
Other duties as assigned.

Required
High School graduate or equivalent required.
1 - 2 years of accounts receivable collection experience in healthcare required.
Working knowledge of CPT/ASA and ICD-10
Strong mathematical, research, analysis, decision making and problem-solving skills.
Strong data gathering and reporting skills.
Working knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processing guidelines and laws.
Working knowledge of guidelines and laws, commercial managed care insurance, Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable working with coworkers and senior leadership.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Team oriented, must have a pleasant disposition and high tolerance level for diverse personalities.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Preferred
Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
Anesthesia accounts receivable collection experience is strongly preferred.
