Responsibilities

Independently develop and execute SPR (Biacore and Carterra platforms) assays to generate objective selection criteria for panels of antibodies, multispecifics, and antibody-like biologics with high productivity levels.
Evaluate and integrate protein-protein interaction technologies (e.g., SPR, BLI, ELISA, etc.) to support therapeutic candidate selection.
Implement high-throughput epitope binning for monoclonal antibodies and develop deep knowledge of antibody sequence/function relationships.
Perform antibody Fc characterization studies to support regulatory submissions.
Identify and resolve technical challenges independently and conceive and implement innovative research approaches.
Exhibit scientific initiative and creativity in biologics characterization and screening to support BGM and TA projects, such as multi-specifics.
Analyze, document, and report data concisely, formulate conclusions, and design follow-on experiments based on multidisciplinary data.
Provide direct mentorship and guidance to junior scientists and team members, fostering their scientific development and growth.
Provide project updates, analyses, and advice to cross-functional teams and senior management.
Present original work internally and at scientific conferences; may author or co-author scientific papers or patents.

Required

BS or MS or PhD in biology, chemistry, biochemistry or related field with typically 10+ (BS), 8+ (MS) or 0+ (PhD) years of experience.
Experience with analytical/functional characterization of biologics using Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) platforms (e.g., Biacore T200 and 8K, Carterra LSA).
Demonstrated theoretical and practical understanding of the scientific discipline with the ability to learn and master innovative technologies.
Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously within timelines.
Goal-oriented team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong can-do attitude and can operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
Ability to adapt to rapid changes in project priorities and timelines.

Preferred

Broad technical knowledge of various analytical, biophysical, and structural methods, such as SEC, MS, HDX-MS, X-ray crystallography, DSF, DLS, etc., is a plus.
Experience of high throughput biologics screening with biochemical, biophysical, and cell-based methods.
Direct experience with biologics, monoclonal antibodies and/or protein therapeutics is a plus.
