Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance: Review and analyze chattel loan origination and servicing documentation and processes to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations. Identify and address any discrepancies or non-compliance issues in both areas.

Audit and Inspection: Conduct regular reviews of loan files, servicing records, and processing workflows. Evaluate the effectiveness of current compliance practices and recommend improvements for both origination and servicing operations.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of compliance reviews related to both loan origination and servicing. Prepare detailed reports on findings, including any areas of non-compliance, and suggest corrective actions.

Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in state and federal regulations related to chattel loan origination and servicing operations.

Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to address quality issues and assist in implementing solutions.

Required

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality control or compliance role within the financial services industry, preferably with experience in chattel loans and loan servicing operations.

Strong understanding of state and federal regulations governing chattel loan origination and loan servicing.

Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret complex regulations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to clearly convey complex regulatory requirements to team members and stakeholders.
