Responsibilities

Support for product quality. Driving proactive and reactive quality-focused projects.

Interface closely with HRSG Pressure Part and Global Supply Chain teams to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and quality escapes (NCR).

Provide supply chain with direct consultation and interpretation related to engineering drawings and documentation.

Expeditious dispositioning of non-compliant hardware

Leading second source hardware qualifications

This position requires leadership, teamwork, and communication skills as well as a passion for continuous improvement.

Apply knowledge of HRSG design and manufacturing to implement new ideas that enhance overall function of part, reduce cost, and add value.

Design for producibility and manufacturing. Partnership with Supply Chain on Lean concepts and daily management.

Qualification guidelines, specifications, top issues, and coordination

Identify and implement cost out opportunities

Advanced manufacturing development/Development of NPIs

Technology development and qualification of special processes – finning, bending, prepping, machining, welding, heat treatment, surface preparation, coatings, etc.

Regional, and in some cases, global: shop and supplier support

Cultivate positive working environment and morale; drive a sense of urgency and quality with speed

Ensure the team delivers change that has business impact.

Review manufacturing sequences and collaborate with supplier to optimize so that tolerances are met.
