Responsibilities
Understanding of Uniphar’s service offerings, specific to Medical Affairs, Medical Information, HCP Engagement, MSLs, and how those apply to the target market.
Leveraging existing tools, and as assigned, proactively market Uniphar’s services to potential new clients.
Cultivate and maintain a network of contacts across the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries to facilitate company growth.
Identify the most promising and qualified opportunities for company growth and create plans to engage and facilitate opportunities.
Set appointments and meet potential clients for qualified opportunities.
Deliver capabilities presentation to client prospect decision makers, including executives.
Represent potential client's objectives and perspective for service opportunities and communicate to ensure understanding of mutual objectives.
Work in conjunction with cross-functional team members across the organization to close opportunities.
Negotiate services agreements and ensure successful communication of agreement requirements to applicable internal stakeholders (i.e., finance, operations, etc.)
Understand strengths and weaknesses of competitors and bring forth competitive intelligence as learned during the business development process.
Identify new pipeline opportunities based on current company and customers, independent research, and feedback from clients.
Strong understanding of metrics and pricing required to meet profitability goals and effectively communicate same in sales proposals.
Supports the development and creation of proposal budgets in collaboration with growth, project management, finance, and SME’s.
Assists with the creation of business development tools.
Performance is measured on meeting identified and agreed upon metrics for opportunity identification and sales.
Record activity in CRM on frequent basis.
Presents at industry related events on topics that are relevant to company and/or client accounts.
Manage travel expenses.

Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education plus professional experience required
Three to five years in life sciences business development, medical affairs, marketing, or client services
Depth of knowledge in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare industry is mandatory
Experience working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
Experience identifying, pursuing and closing outbound leads in a revenue-based position
Strong medical experience including medical affairs, medical information, MSL’s, KOL engagement, and HCP engagement
A robust network of Biotech and Pharmaceutical clients; extended networks in the Northeast pharmaceutical industry are a plus
Excellent at face-to-face meetings in any environment with senior-level decision makers
You are a closer with a proven track record of hitting set Sales targets
Strong understanding of the business development cycle
Use of business development tools such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Pardot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Professional client-facing skills; full comprehension of client businesses
Accountability through weekly reporting and opportunity analysis
Preferred
Familiarity with or experience in a medical affairs/commercial environment is strongly desired
