Responsibilities
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and business opportunities within the engineering services/consulting sector
Lead Generation: Develop and implement strategies for generating new leads and expanding the client base
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
Proposal Development: Prepare detailed technical proposals, presentations, and RFP responses that effectively communicate our services and value proposition to audiences ranging from engineers to senior leadership
Sales Strategy: Work with Director of Sales, Engineering, and the Leadership Team to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth
Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to increase visibility and establish connections
Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering, project management, and leadership teams to ensure client requirements are met and projects are successfully delivered
Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback to inform business strategy
Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements are reached

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is desirable
Minimum of 5 years of business development experience in the engineering services/engineering consulting industry related to ground vehicles (passenger car, commercial, off-road), aerospace/aircraft, rail, oil & gas/energy, medical device, and/or related sectors with products/systems containing embedded devices; preference given to those with experience selling software and/or testing services
Strong understanding of engineering and consulting market dynamics, with preference given to those with experience working in the with test systems, HILs, SILs, automated test equipment and test as a service business models.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to develop and implement effective business development strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a highly technical environment
Preferred
Familiarity with solutions using National Instruments, dSPACE, Vector, Rohde and Schwarz, and other test products is a plus.
