Responsibilities
Monitor network and system activity to detect potential security threats and respond to security incidents.
Analyze and investigate security alerts from various security tools, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage remediation efforts to address identified security risks.
Support the implementation and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures to protect data and systems.
Assist with risk assessments and audits, ensuring compliance with security regulations and industry best practices.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement security controls and improve overall security posture.
Conduct regular security awareness training for employees to promote security-conscious behavior.
Prepare reports and documentation of security incidents, investigations, and findings for management.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
experience in information security or a related field.
Knowledge of security principles, techniques, and technologies, including SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS.
Experience with vulnerability management, threat analysis, and incident response.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills for conveying security findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
Experience with cloud security and knowledge of security controls for cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to streamline security processes.
Knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and experience in compliance support.
Required Security clearance.
Preferred
Federal Experience is a plus.
