Responsibilities

Migrate existing Oracle database to SQL Server database including tables, data migration, PL/SQL to T-SQL, and other database objects.

Optimize and tune SQL Server queries, indexes, and operating system resources to meet performance requirements.

Unit test conversions.

Provide SQL Server SQL guidance on conversion to a cross-functional team including Web Service Application Program Interface (API), Extract Transform Load (ETL), and Business Analytics (Reporting) developers.

Document and maintain technical design, migration processes, and lessons learned.

Identify and recommend solutions to support groups, project managers, and the end user/client.

Manage database Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Migration Language (DDL) in Git source control to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
