Responsibilities

Lead a sales team (7) located across Canada & US in securing new municipal clients, taking ownership of the primary responsibility to drive new sales
Demonstrate and coach a team to a high sales IQ (organizational skills, strong presentation and demo’ing, prospecting, networking, differentiating, value selling)
Move quick, roll up your sleeves, and execute, execute, execute
Manage sales team to drive quota achievement through: managing team funnel and pipeline
Work Collaboratively with Management, Leadership, marketing, implementation, and sales operations to execute a seamless customer experience
Manage a slate of tradeshows, associations, partnerships and affiliate organizations
Using a consultative sales approach, demonstrate and teach ability to uncover municipalities’ pain points and provide solutions
You're an independent, highly competitive, quick-thinking person with a thirst for learning and winning
You are resilient and take ownership; you want to succeed and will drive to reach your goals
Ability to learn quickly and develop and share best practices with the team
Be both a hunter and farmer when it comes to finding opportunities, with a proven track record for success.
Be a municipal advisor that helps the customer simplify and manage their data
Strive for customer satisfaction to cultivate a base of referenceable customers
Drive success by taking ownership of KPIs related to selling and securing new client

Required

Sales experience in SaaS and/or GovTech is preferred
Experience managing people and coaching a team to success
Ability to empathize and listen to prospective customers and value selling
Ability to effectively present information one-on-one, small group, and larger audiences.
Ability to identify potential opportunities and possible solutions for prospects
Appreciation of technology and ability to communicate complex concepts into simple terms

Preferred

Experience with local government software is an asset
