Responsibilities
Serve as the Technical Writer 2 for the EDW, supporting the analysis and reporting needs of the agency, the existing EDW, as well as the design and construction of the new EDW in Azure.
Develop and maintain user, business requirements, technical documentation and project process documentation in support of the EDW production systems and projects.
Work with public health professionals, business analysts, application developers, database, and system administrators to achieve project objectives.
Complete weekly timesheet reporting in PeopleFluent/VectorVMS by COB Friday.
Complete weekly project status updates in Daptiv when necessary.
Provide weekly personal status reporting by COB Friday submitted on SharePoint.
Publish and present design reports, maintain documentation on project SharePoint sites.

Required
Experience with eliciting, analyzing, specifying, and validating the business needs of stakeholder business units
Experience conducting interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods
Develops, enhances, and maintains user and technical documentation for multiple applications including documentation required for the EDW team. Ensures solutions meet Commonwealth standards, policies and procedures
Experience translating customer requirements into functional and technical requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to both business stakeholders and the development team
Experience with creating process models, specifications, diagrams, wireframes, and charts to provide direction to the development team
Maintains documentation libraries, templates, quality standards. Makes recommendations to the team on improving documentation
Organizes and prepares work effectively to facilitate proactive resolution of problems, rather than reactive. Prepares accurate estimates for documentation requests and activities
Experience communicating, coordinating, and performing as liaison between stakeholder business units and the development team
Ability to balance work between multiple projects and possess good organizational skills
Ability to work and communicate collaboratively and effectively with colleagues, and as a member of a team
Ability to present complex technical concepts and data to a varied audience effectively
More than 5 years of relevant experience
Preferred
Experience working in the public health or healthcare industry with various health applications and data.
