Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS GovCloud.
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources, ensuring alignment with security and compliance standards.
Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring smooth operation, scalability, and adherence to security best practices.
Collaborate with development teams to establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, focusing on automated testing, deployment, and continuous delivery.
Implement and enforce security best practices across all cloud infrastructure and application deployments, with a focus on ensuring compliance with federal security standards, particularly within AWS GovCloud environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and application deployments. Optimize resources for cost-effectiveness and performance.
Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using industry-standard tools to ensure real-time visibility into system performance and health.
Work closely with DevOps, development, and third-party vendor teams to streamline software delivery processes.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure design, configurations, and processes. Provide regular updates and reports on project status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Active CompTIA Security+ certification; AWS certification preferred.
5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a primary focus on AWS GovCloud and related cloud technologies.
Proficiency in developing infrastructure as code (IaaC) using Terraform, with a focus on security and compliance.
Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing containerized applications, including: Deploying Kubernetes resources using Rancher (Rancher Government experience is a plus). Modifying Helm Charts for use in the Rancher ecosystem. Managing inter-pod communications and cluster administration within Kubernetes.
Experience with third-party security authorization tools such as ForgeRock or Okta.
Administration experience with Linux servers in a Kubernetes cluster.
Experience with AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) and deploying EC2 instances in an AWS environment.
Familiarity with AWS Secret Key Management and experience configuring and deploying AWS RDS services (Postgres and SQL Server).
Experience with AWS S3 configuration for secure and private data storage.
Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, or similar.
Strong background in developing deployment processes using GitLab.
Experience with vulnerability scanning tools, both static and dynamic.
Familiarity with cloud-based resource sizing and pricing estimation on AWS.
Must have ability to obtain Secret clearance.
U.S Citizenship is required.

Preferred

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, with experience in reliability, monitoring, and incident response.
Experience working in an Agile development environment with tools like JIRA for project management.
Familiarity with healthcare IT standards, particularly FHIR and HL7, or previous experience in the healthcare sector.
