Responsibilities
Lead the change and evolution of our cloud services, defining cloud adoption strategies, including migration plans, cost optimization, security, service options and scalability.
Develop and maintain a clear strategy and roadmap for Azure cloud services, governance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and lead the implementation of Azure solutions, including provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.
Contribute to the development and enforcement of corporate security policies related to Azure services and monitor compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Ensure the implementation of security best practices for Azure resources, including identity and access management, EDR monitoring, network security (ex. network segmentation, virtual firewall), secure corporate secrets, and ensure monthly patch cycle is applied.
Establish and oversee infrastructure monitoring processes, ensuring proactive identification of performance bottlenecks and anomalies.
Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Azure services and provide actionable insights to improve efficiency.
Review ticket statistics of common trends and address root problems based on ITIL framework.
Discuss project status with team members and customer facing teams. Provide solutions for project delays and adjust priorities accordingly.
Regularly review and analyze Azure-related budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring efficient resource utilization.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and associated processes.
Implement solutions to improve product reliability and reduce downtime and provide suggestions for cloud architecture for test and customer environments.
Create a center of excellence for Azure expertise, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development across the Trapeze business units.
Engage with business stakeholders, including executives, functional leaders, and project managers. Understand their needs, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable cloud solutions.
Present updates, roadmaps, and progress reports to leadership.
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members by holding regular individual calls and group calls.
Collaborate with Azure service providers and vendors to negotiate contracts and manage relationships, specifically the Microsoft Azure relationship.
Ensure 24/7 coverage to deliver first-class service and support to customers.

Required
5+ years of experience in a similar managerial role leading Azure cloud hosting DevOps.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect).
Proven experience in managing and implementing Azure-based solutions.
Experience and knowledge of SOC2, HIPAA, and PIPEDA certification, along with security frameworks and compliance including NIST.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience in leading change.
Self-Motivated and Customer-Focused: Quickly absorbs and retains information, highly self-motivated. Exceptional customer service skills, even in stressful situations.
Ability to guide a talented team of cloud professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Mature and professional approach to work with an ability to instill a high level of confidence with others
