Finance Systems Manager

Responsibilities
Develop/update and implement quality assurance policies and procedures for financial systems and processes.
Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory policies.
Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Oversee the UAT of financial systems, including software updates, new implementations, and integrations.
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Analyze Business Requirements Documents to get better understanding of the system both on technical and business perspectives.
Participate in requirements, design, development and testing sessions
Work closely with IT, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration and functionality of financial systems.
Communicate testing results, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
Prepare and present detailed reports on quality assurance activities, findings, and improvements.
Analyze data and processes to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for enhancement.
Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of quality assurance processes.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance quality assurance, testing, or a related role, preferably in a higher education setting.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, standards, and best practices.
Proficiency in financial software and systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
