Responsibilities
Participate in all aspects of the business acquisition process from start to finish
Maintain a wide variety of confidential information, files, and records
Track relevant information for transactional process ensuring that all legal requirements are being met including licensing, zoning, qualification and similar
Prepare and file applications and registrations with governmental authorities
Manage deal checklists to ensure all transactional requirements and coordination elements are completed in a timely manner
Prepare closing books and status reports as assigned
Review contracts and transactions to determine requirements; review state law and local requirements relating to the operation of business
Work with inside (and outside legal counsel) in completing legal tasks as assigned which may include preparing forms and contracts for review, tracking and reviewing due diligence, ordering and reviewing lien and litigation searches, assembling schedules, coordinating closing related items and gatekeeping and managing certain processes and procedures within the legal department
Coordinate with finance, HR and operations to coordinate licensing, insurance and other local legal requirements are satisfied in connection with each transaction
Train and support employees on legal systems and programs taking lead where asked in ensuring company compliance
Assist in the research and preparation of managerial reports, transactional summaries and legal summaries for routine and exceptional legal matters
Support corporate governance matters
Coordinate all aspects of real estate transactions
Serve as a resource of the Chief Legal Officer in all matters impacting the company
Maintain current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, and best practices related to your position

Required
4+ years of prior corporate and transactional experience (either law firm or corporation) preferably in a high growth environment
Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree. Business-related or paralegal field preferred
Demonstrated understanding of transactional process and record keeping responsibilities
Knowledge of contract law principles, M&A transactions and real estate transactions
Prior experience reading and redlining contracts, preparing basic contracts for review, and attending to all facets of the transactional process
Proficient with MS Office, including Excel, Word & Outlook
Proficient in Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign and similar enterprise solutions
Experience driving projects from conception to completion
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Must be capable of managing multiple priorities at any given time and manage multiple assignments concurrently, pivot when needed, and operate in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written English language skills. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of people and job functions internal and external to the company
Establish and maintain effective working relationships based on mutual trust, respect, and cooperation with co-workers, outside service providers and other vendors
