Responsibilities

Lead clients through the Splunk sales process alongside Presidio teammates to solve business needs serving as the Technical Subject Matter Expert
Design and architect Splunk solutions tailored to client needs through evangelism of Splunk, Splunk services including managed services, Atlas deployment, and Expertise on Staff
Maintain current knowledge of Splunk business solutions and specialties, such as Enterprise Security, including foundational knowledge of both Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud
Technically conversant on ancillary Splunk products and service offerings with focus on creating proposals mapping our solutions to business needs
Provide technical guidance to clients and Presidio Account owners throughout the selling cycle
Work with direct account teams to understand needs and shape technical solutions
Create account needs such as briefings, Statements of Work (SOW), demos, case studies, and proof-of-value statements/programs
Stay up to date on certifications, product releases, and credentials in the Splunk community including but not limited to Splunk Selling Certification (1&2) and Splunk Architect Certification
Communicate throughout the organization and partner organizations to serve as a trusted advisor for all things Splunk & Atlas
Demonstrate product capabilities of the Presidio Splunk practice in customer meetings, team cross-training and cross-selling opportunities, public webinars or other communication forums such as the Splunk Practice blog

Required

Prior Pre-Sales Engineering experience and experience creating SOWs, leading client technical presentations, and whiteboard sessions
Experience reviewing or writing SOWs and BOM(Bill of Material) for Splunk deployments
Aptitude and interest in leading consultative pre-sales activities for software and professional services solutions
Expert-level knowledge and experience with Splunk architecture, design, and implementation
Strong understanding of enterprise-level architecture and scaling Splunk deployments
Expert in creating and customizing dashboards and reports to meet business requirements
Splunk Data Onboarding: Advanced skills in data ingestion, normalization, and correlation
Proficiency in writing complex SPL queries and optimizing searches
Thorough knowledge of security frameworks and how to implement them within Splunk
Knowledge and experience with design, implementation, and support of one or more of the following: Splunk Enterprise Security, Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI), Splunk SOAR (security orchestration and automation solutions), Splunk Observability Cloud, Splunk App Development
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience in Computer Science, IT, Analytics, or a related field
Minimum 2 years experience working with Splunk ideally with at least 1 year in a pre-sales or client-facing role
Minimum of Splunk Administrator certification with ability to move forward at Splunk Architect or above within 120 days
