Responsibilities
Operates, maintains and monitors the Boiler Room and auxiliary equipment, i.e. pumps, emergency generators, etc. ensuring operations and safety
Makes emergency repairs, mechanical and electrical to prevent or stop interruptions of utility services. Runs emergency generator as required.
Supervises and monitors work of engineering staff during assigned watch.
Checks electrical power supply and load of current being drawn three times during shift.
Adjusts major air conditioning units and/or heat depending on needs, to ensure proper temperature; checks exhaust and supply fans for proper ventilation.
Maintains a daily log of any unusual conditions arising during the shift.
Operates HVAC central control system.
Performs other related duties.

Required
Education: High School or GED
Experience: 5 years related experience
License/Certification: Stationary Engineer License Issuing Agency: NYC Department of Buildings
License/Certification: Refrigeration License Issuing Agency: NYS/ Department of State
