Responsibilities
Serve as lead author on FERC resource reports.
Research, analyze and compile data for permit applications and reports to various regulatory agencies.
Act as a subject matter expert on large and complex projects, including elements such as scope and delivery requirements, planning, coordinating field and other technical work, and managing health, safety and risk aspects.
Serve as a team member on multiple projects concurrently, including major natural gas and LNG capital development projects throughout the United States.
Support technical proposals and participate in business development with existing clients.
Engage with key regulatory agencies, including but not limited to the FERC, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, National Marine Fisheries Service, Environmental Protection Agency, Federal land management agencies, and State Historic Preservation Offices.
Contribute technical or subject matter expertise on FERC applications, impact assessment deliverables, and overall quality control review.

Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental studies, environmental management, wetland science, planning, geography, or related natural resources science field of study.
At least 5 to 10 years of experience in permitting FERC-regulated capital development projects.
Demonstrated ability to research and prepare concise and accurate technical documents including presentation of findings to clients, stakeholders, and/or regulatory agencies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports.
Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience with federal, state, and local permitting for development projects.
Experience overseeing and coordinating desktop and online studies or research on natural resource or resource planning topics, Geographic Information System, map interpretation (National Wetland Inventory, U.S. Geological Survey, aerial photography).
Demonstrated ability to establish a good rapport with project team members, excellent people skills, responsive, collaborative, versatile, effective in a fast-paced environment, and service-oriented.
Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
Preferred
Experience developing documents and permitting strategies for FERC.
At least 8 years of relevant experience, including experience with complex capital development projects, such as natural gas pipeline systems and liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities.
Demonstrated experience with environmental siting and impact assessments under NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) for energy infrastructure projects.
