Responsibilities
Leads effort across interdependent functions (Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, IT) to identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness, develop plans, manage, and implement enhancements or new problem-solving solutions for new or existing processes.
Manage Guam, Micronesia & Naha initiatives, programs and projects from initiation, planning, executing, monitoring, and support transition from project to steady state
Establishes requirements and expectations with General, Sales and Operations management project stakeholders and provide regular updates.
Support vessel operations for CLX and feeder vessel requirements including stowage/discharge, husbandry activities, regulatory requirements and other needs as required
Works closely with Guam, CNMI and Micronesia external agents and third-party operators to coordinate, facilitate and organize regular engagement, annual conferences and training as required.
Performs special studies and analyses as directed by the Vice President & General Manager and the Operations Manager.
Develops Key Performance Indicators and stewards collection and regular reporting to Operations Manager to assess the efficiency and productivity of the Operations group
Develops and adapts existing documented processes for Operations group and leads plan for implementation
Helps plan Operations annual budget requirements, identifies cost savings initiatives, conducts monthly stewarding and analysis of expenses and tracking of cost savings initiatives
Champion use of automation and digital tools and resources to enhance productivity in the workplace and as part of process improvements initiatives.

Required
Computer proficiency, especially, with Microsoft Office products
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people by example
Ability to think ahead and plan
Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Problem analysis and problem resolution at a functional level
A strong team player that focuses upon bringing different work groups together
May involve travel Micronesia or Naha as required
Experience in terminal operations, shipping, transportation, logistics or related industry.
Basic knowledge of applicable safety rules, and familiarity with safe workforce practices
Proven ability to prioritize work responsibilities in a multi-task work environment with attention to detail and deadlines.
Good analytical skills with proven results. Able to present position to stakeholders in order to gain understanding and support.
Preferred
College degree preferred; in-kind experience acceptable.
